Because you need to understand the characters' reactions, their motivations, and just generally what the heck is going on. Trying to decipher the plot through Google Translate while simultaneously trying not to gag at the artwork? Not a fun experience, trust me.

So, if you're looking for something different, something that will simultaneously disturb and entertain you, then I highly recommend giving Mahou Shojo of the End a try.
